President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on monthly cash payments to people leaving Ukraine for Russia, reports Reuters.
Ukrainian authorities call most of such relocations deportation, since many Ukrainians, in particular children, are forcibly removed from the occupied territories by the Russians.
Putin's decree establishes monthly payments of 10,000 rubles ($170) for people who have been “forced” to leave the territory of Ukraine (including the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”) since February 18.
