Bashkortostan, Tyumen, Primorsky Krai: the Russian Federation is preparing additional battalions for war – ISW

For additional motivation, the payments to volunteers continue to increase.

Additional volunteer battalions continue to be trained in Russian regions for sending to the war in Ukraine to replace losses. This is stated in the report of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) dated August 26.

Relying on local news from the subjects of the Russian Federation (regions), the ISW reported that they are starting to recruit additional volunteer battalions, which continue to go to Ukraine.

For example, the publication “Primorska Gazeta” reported on August 26 that the volunteer battalion of the Primorsky Krai “Tiger” (part of the 155th separate marine infantry brigade of the Russian Federation) numbering 240 people took part in the first combat operation in an unspecified place on the territory of Ukraine.
