/strong> (“Servant of the People”) was removed from consideration in the Verkhovna Rada, according to ZN.UA sources in the parliament.
< p>Instead, there is a compromise solution that will be presented by the head of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy Anastasia Radina on September 7.
At the committee meeting, Radina opposed Klochka's initiative, which undermines the competition for the election of the NABU director. And she proposed her own draft of the law, which the committee did not support.
The compromise option, which the sources told about, is probably a new draft of the law, which was registered in the parliament today.
As a result, all the stormy lobbyist fantasies of Klochka regarding the requirements for candidates for the position of director of NABU were rejected, and only the rule was clarified that a candidate who, after the introduction of martial law on February 24, 2022, was outside Ukraine for a total of more than 21 days as of the last day of receipt of documents.
The restriction does not apply to those candidates who stayed abroad for more than the specified period for treatment due to injury, contusion, mutilation or disease received during military service, or on a business trip to connection with the performance of tasks and implementation of measures in the interests of national security and defense of Ukraine.
