The US has approved another $400 million aid package.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the American leader Joe Biden for approving a new aid package to our country in the amount of $400 million. The package includes the transfer of four new HIMARS artillery systems to Ukraine.
According to Zelenskyi, this will make it possible to stop a Russian terrorist who is shelling peaceful Ukrainian cities. Only during this day, the Russian army shelled Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih and communities of the Zaporizhzhia region. The brutal strikes of the Russian artillery in Donbas do not stop.
“The Russian army hit ordinary houses and civilian objects – absolutely deliberately, purposefully. There are victims – dead, wounded. I am grateful to the United States for the decision to provide additional HIMARS systems and other weapons that make it possible to take precisely anti-terrorist steps and reduce Russian strikes by their missiles on our living people,” he said in an evening address to Ukrainians.

Along with the transferred ones, Ukraine will have 12 HIMARS systems. Despite the fact that our country does not yet have fire parity with Russia, this weapon is much more effective than the Russian one, and is already changing the course of the battle.
Thanks to HIMARS, Ukraine struck the rear of Russian troops in the occupied territories, undermining their ability to continue to use artillery intensively. So it is not surprising that the Russian Federation from time to time launches fakes about the alleged destruction of one or two systems.
