Russia is forced to change its priorities in the war against Ukraine, because it failed to achieve the goals set at the beginning of the “special operation”.
Russia's plans for Ukraine have changed, and the capture of Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa is no longer a strategic goal. Soon the Russian Federation will withdraw its troops in these operational areas and send them to the environmental protection zone, wrote Alexei Arestovich, an adviser to the head of the President's Office.
After unsuccessful attempts to encircle the capital of Ukraine, capture Kharkiv or somehow move towards Odessa, the Russian military leadership said that the first stage of the “special operation” is over, and it's time for the second – “liberation of Donbass”.
“There will be no capture of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa,” Arestovich said.

The adviser to the head of the President's Office singled out new tasks that the Russian military will try to fulfill.
“They now have three tasks: to encircle our troops in the environmental protection zone, to completely occupy Mariupol and hold the South. If they lose Kherson, their entire Mariupol occupation will collapse. And that's all.” – concludes Arestovich.
