The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan addressed the Russian Federation with a demand to ensure the withdrawal of troops

Azerbaijan demands Russia to withdraw Armenian troops from Nagorno Karabakh and no longer call region

В Минобороны Азербайджана обратились к РФ с требованием обеспечить вывод войск

Recently, Russian “peacekeepers” were withdrawn from the zone of conflict between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia and sent to the Ukrainian front. In this regard, the situation in Nagorno Karabakh has worsened. In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan addressed an official statement to the Russian Federation.

“On the morning of March 26, members of the illegal Armenian armed forces attempted to sabotage units of the Azerbaijani army. As a result of immediate measures, members of the illegal Armenian armed forces were forced to retreat,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stressed that they are still supporters of the tripartite statement and did not violate its provisions. However, the Armenian side has not yet fulfilled all the points of this statement, in particular, point four, which provides for the withdrawal of all military formations from the territory of Azerbaijan.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense appeals to the Russian Federation to control the withdrawal of all Armenian troops and military formations from Azerbaijan, not to distort information about the movement of Azerbaijani troops and stop using the term “Nagorno Karabakh” as non-existent.

“There is no administrative-territorial unit in Azerbaijan called Nagorno-Karabakh. The name of the village mentioned in the statement is not Furukh, but Farrukh,” the Defense Ministry said.

It should be reminded that earlier Armenia announced the resumption of armed actions by Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh.
