The inappropriate joke was considered as interference in the internal politics of the country.
The official Twitter account of Ukraine spread a meme, which hints at the support of Boris Johnson in the upcoming elections for the post of Prime Minister of Great Britain after the resignation of Liz Truss. Because of this, the Ukrainian side was criticized, Newsweek writes.
On October 20, the official Twitter account of Ukraine, which, according to the publication AIN.ua, is run by the Office of the President, made a publication that clearly indicates sympathy for Boris Johnson. There they published a meme depicting the star of the British comedy-drama series “Better Call Saul” Bob Odenkerek. In the picture, he wears Johnson's mask, and next to it, in the same font as on the poster of the series, it is written “Better call Boris”.
