“We do not accept the thesis of the Iranian side that military-technical cooperation with Russia has historical roots and continues to develop. We cannot sacrifice our national security just to have stable trade relations with Iran. That's why Tehran has been warned,” Subh noted.
He added that until Iran abandons its allied relations with the Russian Federation, its relations with Ukraine will not be the same as before.
“Therefore, I cannot rule out that the next step after the break of diplomatic relations, there will be economic sanctions from Ukraine,” the diplomat noted.
