The Council dismissed Lazebna from the post of Minister of Social Policy

It became known about her resignation only last Friday.

The Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on Monday, July 18 , dismissed Marina Lazebna from the post of Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine. As Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported, 277 deputies voted for this decision.

The deputy noted that the appointment of a new minister will take place soon, but not today. At the same time, he added that the new minister will be Oksana Zholnovich.

Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebna submitted her resignation on July 15.

She headed the ministry in March 2020, becoming part of the team of Denis Shmyhal after the resignation of the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk. As Zheleznyav noted, only 27.2% or 6 of the 22 ministers from the initial composition of the Government of 2020 remained in the Cabinet

Before that, from In August 2019, Lazebna managed the State Social Service. She previously worked at the Ministry of Social Policy (Department of Labor and Employment), managed the State Employment Service until its liquidation in 2014.
