The latest polls show that Turkish citizens hold the Alliance responsible for the “Ukrainian crisis”.
Turkey, led by President Erdogan, has been helping Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's armed aggression and acting as a mediator between the parties to the conflict. Amid recent events, Metropoll conducted a poll to find out who is to blame for the war, according to Turkish residents. The results were unexpected.
Respondents were asked: “Who do you consider responsible for the invasion of Ukraine?”
Almost half of 48.3% of respondents answered – NATO and the United States. Interesting statistics, especially if we remember that Turkey itself is a member of the Alliance.
About a third blame Russia – 33.7% of respondents. There are also those who see Ukraine as responsible for this – 7.5%.

Respondents' political preferences probably did not particularly affect their positions. A poll by Ahval notes that the incumbent Turkish president is supported by 49% of those responsible for NATO and the United States, compared with 48.2% of opposition citizens.
