Malyuska spoke about the agreement that the Russian Federation wants to sign with Ukraine

As for the security guarantees, according to the minister, they will not be the same from all the states that will sign them, because they have different opportunities to help us.

Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska said that Moscow is ready to sign an agreement with Kyiv, the terms of which are very similar to our capitulation. He added that negotiations between the parties are not currently underway including because of this position of the Russian Federation, “RBK Ukraine” informs.

“You have to draw a clear line. There are negotiations with Russia. And there are negotiations on security guarantees with our partners and allies from the West. Negotiations with Russia are where I am a member of the negotiating team. They are not happening now, except for a very narrow group and a very narrow the topic is the export of grain. As for the negotiations on security guarantees, I do not take part there, so I do not have detailed information,” Malyuska explains.

According to him, the negotiations on security guarantees< /strong> is being dealt with by a large group created in the president's office, so more information about them should be expected from the OP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“It is clear from the fact that we have looked and understood from the very beginning – for sure, these guarantees will not be universal for all countries joining such a regime, most likely. This was communicated by the office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But this is an objective reality, because the capabilities of different countries are different, and at least so far the degree of readiness to defend Ukraine is also different in different states,” Malyuska emphasizes.

As for peace talks, Moscow is constantly signaling about their readiness to restore them. However, their position does not allow them to do so, because they want the capitulation of Ukraine.

“This is constantly heard in the Russian media: that we are ready, but the Ukrainians do not want to negotiate. In fact, they are ready to sign the contract on the terms they like and which are very similar to some kind of capitulation. Therefore, it is not a readiness to negotiate – it is a readiness to impose its conditions so that we surrender. There is such readiness in them, – said Malyuska, adding that as soon as the real situation allows, the negotiations will resume. – But this is a question for the leaders of the negotiation groups, from our side it is Davyd Arahamia. He can comment on this history and consequences in the most detailed and competent manner. I only give a general impression and my understanding”.

Advisor to the head of the OP Mykhailo Podolyak stated that the negotiation process will resume when Russian troops return to the positions they occupied until February 24.

On May 17, the Ukrainian side confirmed the suspension of negotiations with Russiaregarding peaceful settlement. According to OP adviser Mykhailo Podoliak, there are three reasons for this: Moscow does not demonstrate an understanding of today's processes in the world, does not realize that in any sense the war is not going its rules, schedule or plans, and cannot refuse to inject into the domestic market.
