Only three candidates ran the 10% mark.
The current President of France and centrist Emmanuel Macron and leader far-right National Union party Marine Le Pen is running in the second round of the presidential election. Preliminary results of the first round are reported by BFMTV.
According to the channel's estimates, Macron received 28.5% of the vote in the first round, Le Pen – 24.2%. The third place is occupied by the leader of the far left party “Unconquered France” Jean-Luc Melanchon, who scored 20.2%. None of the other candidates was able to cross the 10% mark.
I guess President Macron said the other day that he saw clear signs of war crimes committed by the Russian military against civilians in Bucha.
Le Pen said in December last year that Ukraine was in Russia's sphere of interest, and when asked if the country had the right to join NATO, she said that today the Alliance could not accept new members.
