The Irpen authorities will ask Canada to rebuild the city.
The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Deputy Prime Minister Christie Freeland and Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie arrived in Irpen, Kyiv region, said Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Markushin.
“I just had the honor of speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He came to Irpin to see with his own eyes all the horror that the Russian occupiers had done to our city. And, of course, he was shocked. After all, he saw burned and completely destroyed not military facilities, but the homes of Irpin residents, who until recently enjoyed life and had their own plans for the future, “Markushin wrote in a telegram.
Markushin thanked Trudeau for the support that Canada provides to Ukraine today.
“I hope for the support of Mr. Justin Trudeau in organizing the efforts of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada to rebuild infrastructure in Irpen. Irpin will apply with the relevant official letters in the near future, “the mayor added.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian occupiers damaged and destroyed 71% of buildings in Irpen /strong> . In particular, more than 1,000 buildings in the city were damaged: 115 were completely destroyed, 698 were significantly damaged, 187 were partially damaged.
