He noted that work within the framework of this platform is primarily aimed at returning peace to the European continent.
The day before yesterday, October 6, an installation was held in Prague meeting of the European political community. Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva noted on his Facebook page that it is fundamentally important for Ukraine that this format does not become an alternative to EU enlargement policy.
“We speak about this frankly to our European partners. We are ready to support any initiatives and participate in any formats that help or at least do not harm our movement towards EU membership,” he said. – Therefore, we expect that interaction within the framework of the European political community will contribute, first of all, to the return of peace to the European continent, in particular through increased coordination in the direction of guaranteeing collective European security.”
Zhovkva added that it is also important that this platform provides additional opportunities to jointly overcome the economic, energy, environmental and other challenges faced by almost every European state today.
“We will also draw on the experience of individual European partners in matters of achieving deeper sectoral integration with the EU and entering the internal market,” he said.
