The war in Ukraine has reached the stage of “operational impasse” – Bloomberg

Fighting in Ukraine has stalled, so far neither side has been able to create sufficient ground combat capabilities to influence the course of the war, Western officials believe.

Both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian war have problems with the personnel of the army, since almost six months of war led to a serious depletion of the enemy forces. This is reported by CNN and Bloomberg with reference to anonymous representatives of the authorities. The publications also note that the above-mentioned problems are a factor contributing to the transition of the situation to the stage of “operational impasse”.

Speaking about the pace of the Russian offensive in Donbas, the officials noted: “Earlier there was real heat. We are not at that stage anymore, the pace has slowed down.”

Russia is going through “terrible times” trying to rebuild its forces — for example, by merging battalion tactical groups.
