No catastrophe or pandemic has such a global impact on the mental health of a person, like war. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko said this at the Second International Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv.
According to him, Ukrainians aged at least 10 years during the five months of the war.
< p>“Unfortunately, global disasters that haunt humanity have a significant impact on mental health. But no catastrophe of man-made nature, no pandemic affects the state of health like war. We constantly talked about the fact that we want to increase the life expectancy in Ukraine among Ukrainians. We wanted Ukrainians to reach this European life expectancy. But already these five months of war have led to the fact that we, Ukrainians, have aged ten years. At least for ten years. In other words, the diseases that were common in our country at the age of 60 will now be among people aged 45-50,” Lyashko said, Ukrinform reports.
At the same time, according to Lyashko, thanks to innovative equipment, Ukraine conducts modern operations, develops transplantology.
