The former president of the United States again made a provocative statement without substantiating it in any way.
Former US President Donald Trump from the very beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine made ambiguous statements, who in one way or another tolerated the actions of the Kremlin or, at least, encouraged the Ukrainian authorities to make peace with the aggressor on favorable terms. According to Trump, the fact that Putin started a war of aggression against Ukraine is the fault of the administration of Joe Biden, which “actually forced” the president of the Russian Federation to take such actions with its “inept diplomacy.” Politician quoted by Newsweek.
According to Trump, it was the rhetoric of Biden and his entourage in the months leading up to the invasion Putin's final decision.
“They were actually mocking him if you look at things objectively. Our country and our so-called leaders mocked Putin. I'd even say they almost force him to do what he does. Their rhetoric was frankly stupid,” Trump said.
The American politician did not name any examples of “fooling” Putin. Instead, the odious billionaire reiterated that the war “definitely wouldn't have started” if he had won the 2020 presidential election. Trump also said he had an “excellent working relationship” with both Zelensky and Putin. He again emphasized that he is ready to become a mediator in the negotiations between the two politicians.
