The US Congress has initiated the replenishment of military reserves, especially the Stinger portable anti-aircraft missile systems and the Javelin portable anti-tank missile systems.
“Production of the most important Stinger and Javelin missile systems could be increased. This will allow the United States to replenish its arsenals after sending thousands of systems to Eastern Europe to support Ukraine,” US Assistant Secretary of State for Procurement, Logistics and Technology Doug Bush told Defense News.
America has been supplying Ukraine with portable anti-aircraft missile and anti-tank missile systems since the beginning of the war. The military aid announced by the US leadership on March 16 includes the delivery of 800 Stinger systems and 2,000 Javelin systems. However, the Ukrainian leadership requested an increase in the number of anti-aircraft missile and anti-tank systems to 500 units per day.
In this regard, there was a need to replenish the US military reserve of anti-aircraft missile and anti-tank systems by increasing production.

“I think it's really two opportunities for the military to move forward quickly, and Congress wants us to replenish those supplies. I think we can do that,” Bush added.
The head of the US Department of Procurement, Logistics and Technology stressed that logistics plays an important role in the effective conduct of hostilities, and the war in Ukraine has proved this once again.
We will remind, earlier Ukraine made changes in the list of the military help which I would like to receive from the USA. This list includes air defense, aviation, Stinger and Javelin.
