The Prime Minister of Ukraine will meet with the IMF in Washington

The Ukrainian delegation will discuss the details of the Marshall Plan with financial representatives of the world's leading countries.

The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will hold a scheduled meeting next Thursday. A Ukrainian delegation led by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal is to arrive in Washington, according to Reuters, citing anonymous sources.

Denis Shmygal together with the Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko and Central Bank Governor Kirill Shevchenko are to hold a series of meetings with G7 officials. According to sources, after the bilateral meetings there will be a round table on Ukraine.

The main topic of discussion at the World Bank meeting with the IMF, as well as the G7 and G20 should be the consequences of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. This event will be the first opportunity, since the beginning of the full-scale war, for the Ukrainian government to personally meet with many financial officials of the world's leading countries and discuss at the highest international level the damage caused by Russia's actions.

“Without support there will be no reconstruction now in the future, “Reuters quoted a source as saying.

It will be recalled that earlier the United States and a number of European countries stated the need to create a “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine. The key concept of the country's reconstruction plan should be its thorough modernization, adhering to the six principles.
