The population of Turkey against Sweden and Finland in NATO is the head of the country's Foreign Ministry

Most Turkish citizens are against the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO, because the authorities of these Scandinavian countries support Kurdish extremists. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu made the statement on May 14, according to En Son Haber. He also described a planned meeting with ministers from both countries.

“An allied country should not openly support the PKK/YGP, a terrorist organization that attacks us every day and kills our soldiers, police and civilians.” Cavusoglu said.

It has become known that Erdogan may block Finland and Sweden from joining NATO.

After, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman said that the country does not close the doors of Sweden and Finland to join NATO , but wants to negotiate with the Scandinavian countries.
