Renault can send 45,000 employees in idle.
Production of the French car company Renault in Russia has been officially stopped, employees are sent to idle. This is stated in the company's statement.
“As for the share in AvtoVAZ, Renault Group evaluates the available options taking into account the current situation, acting responsibly in relation to its 45,000 employees in Russia,” the concern notes.
Renault remained the world's only major carmaker to maintain sales and production in Russia after Russia started the war in Ukraine.
It is noted that the Moscow plant Renault produces Duster SUVs, Kaptur crossover and Arkana coupe crossover.

Earlier, Russia 's Avtovaz announced downtime at several of its plants due to a lack of supplies of electronic components.
Analysts predict a 30 percent inflation in Russia and a 25 percent reduction in wages.
