President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday morning , on September 15, arrived on a visit to Kyiv.
This is Von der Leyen's third visit to Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“So much has changed. Now Ukraine is a candidate for membership in the European Union. I will discuss with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal a plan to bring our economy and people together as Ukraine moves towards accession,” she wrote on her Twitter account.

The day before during a speech in the European Parliament with the annual report on the state of the economy of the European Union Ursula von der Leyen said that she will discuss in Kyiv the issue of Ukraine's unimpeded access to the Single European Market and the free roaming zone.

During the address to the European Parliament, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen presented a shortened version of her five-point plan to overcome the energy crisis in the EU.
