The governments of Ukraine and Poland have signed eight agreements on cooperation in various fields

The documents, in particular, concern the energy, military-defense complex and reconstruction of Ukraine.

During the consultations, the governments of Ukraine and Poland signed eight documents relating to cooperation between states in various fields. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal made this statement at a briefing with his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

The number of agreements and memoranda just signed shows that the new level of relations that Ukraine and Poland have built over the past three months is really business-like and development-oriented, “Shmygal said.

The agreements concern energy, the military -defense complex, cross-border and customs cooperation, environmental policy, restoration of Ukraine and cooperation on national memory.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the consultations approved a joint statement of the two governments.

In it, the Polish government, in particular, expressed support for Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO. He also stated that Poland will make efforts to ensure that our country acquires the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union in June.

The states also agreed to increase defense cooperation, develop the Polish-Ukrainian-British alliance, work on new sanctions against Russia and increase cross-border cooperation.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that his country's government will help export Ukrainian grain , which is now almost impossible to export from Ukraine due to the naval blockade of the Black Sea and the occupation of several seaports by Russian troops.
