The Verkhovna Rada voted for the appointment of Dmitry Lubinets as human rights commissioner, People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced. This decision was supported by 250 people's deputies.
“After an hour's discussion, Dmytro Lubinets was supported for the position of Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for human rights. 250 votes were in favor,” Zheleznyak reported.
He also added that the factions voted as follows:
- “Servant of the people” – 181 “yes”;
- EU – 0 “for”;
- “Fatherland” – 10 “for”;
- “Platform for Life and Peace” – 14 “for”;
- “For the future” – 9 “for”;
- “Voice” – 8 “for”;
- “Trust” – 12 “for”;
- Non-factional – 13 “for”.

Dmytro Lubinets – Ukrainian politician and lawyer, People's Deputy of Ukraine 8- th convocation (from Petro Poroshenko's Bloc) and the 9th convocation. In 2019, he entered the Verkhovna Rada as a non-party self-nominated candidate for district No. 60 (Donetsk region) and became a member of the “For the Future” parliamentary group, which became a party on June 2, 2020. He is also the head of the Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

< span>On May 31, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the dismissal of Lyudmila Denisova from the position of ombudsman. Denisova's resignation through a vote of no confidence in herwas initiated by the Servant of the People faction, which gathered more than 100 votes to initiate consideration of the issue. The faction accuses Denisova of the lack of work results, incompetence and presentation of facts about the crimes of the Russian troops in Ukraine, which only harm the reputation, because it was not possible to prove them.
