More than 900 property objects are on the list of confiscation.
The government at a meeting on Friday, 5 August, approved the presidential decree on confiscation of assets of Russia. In particular, according to Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, the property of the Russian Federation, the assets of Rosbanks and the assets of citizens and companies subject to sanctions are subject to confiscation.
“Today, the government approved the Presidential Decree proposing the confiscation of 903 objects that belong to the Russian state. 79 positions are corporate rights, 824 positions are property,” Shmigal said, reports the government portal.
The Prime Minister noted that the confiscated funds will be used to restore Ukraine. The next step should be the confiscation of Russian assets abroad.
As reported, the EU may adopt legislation to confiscate Russian assets in October.
