The world community is unanimous: Russia should be forced to fulfill the agreements.
US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland commented on the “grain agreement” signed today, CNN reports.
According to the official, pressure from the world community and Russia's need for money from its own export of agricultural products , forced Moscow to sign an agreement on allowing the transit of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
“It's because I think Russia has finally felt the hot breath of global shame,” said Victoria Nuland, “Now Russia has an obligation to implement this agreement.”
Nuland noted that the Russian blockade almost caused not only a European, but also a global crisis in terms of food security.
US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink also welcomed the conclusion of the agreement in Istanbul, which unblocks the export of Ukrainian grain. She stated this in a comment to Radio Svoboda.
The ambassador emphasized that the agreement is “the safest, best and fastest way to export grain.”
“We also appreciate the efforts, really great and long-term efforts of the UN and Turkey to prepare this agreement. After all, it was Russia that weaponized the issue of nutrition in the midst of a global food security crisis. And we believe that we and other countries should force Russia to fulfill this agreement,” added Brink.

British Foreign Minister Liz Truss, welcoming the agreement, recalled that the United Kingdom and allies had made every effort to reach this point. This is stated in the statement of the British Foreign Ministry.
“Now this agreement must be implemented, and we will make sure that Russia's actions correspond to its words,” Truss emphasized.
We remind you that Ukraine, Turkey and the UN signed an agreement on the export of grain. The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Minister of Defense of Turkey, Hulusi Akar, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, signed the document.
A similar document was signed today by Turkey, the United Nations, and Russia. There will be no signing of a direct agreement on grain between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
