Recognition of Crimea as Russian has been on Russia's agenda for 8 years, but Ibrahim Kalin sees no room for compromise on this issue.
“These are red lines for Ukrainians in Crimea and Donbas, and rightly so, because they directly affect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Turkey was one of the first countries to offer to mediate in the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia. Turkish President Erdogan has expressed hope that the parties will agree on problematic issues to make Zelensky's meeting with Putin possible.
