Russia is preparing this winter to deliver a decisive energy blow to to all Europeans. Therefore, all countries should unite and fight back. This was emphasized by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an evening video address.
In particular, Zelenskyi noted why Russia stopped pumping gas through the Nord Stream.
“Russia wants to destroy the normal life of every European in all the countries of our continent. It wants to weaken and intimidate all of Europe, every state. Where Russia cannot do it with force, with conventional weapons, it does it with energy weapons. It tries to strike poverty and political chaos where so far that cannot be hit by missiles. And to defend against this we in Europe need even more unity, even more coordination, help each other. This winter, Russia is preparing for a decisive energy strike on all Europeans. And the key answers to this must be two things: first – our unity in defense against a terrorist state, the second is to increase our own pressure on Russia, this includes strengthening all levels of sanctions and limiting Russia's oil and gas revenues. The more strikes we all strike together, the fewer strikes these terrorists will be able to strike,” it says in the appeal.
