According to Medinsky, the Ukrainian side passed on to Russia the theses to which Ukraine agrees.
The head of the Russian delegation to the talks with Ukraine , Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky said that “Ukraine is ready to meet the fundamental requirements of the Russian Federation, ” Interfax reports .
“Ukraine has declared its readiness to meet the fundamental requirements that Russia has insisted on in recent years. If these obligations are met, the threat of creating a NATO bridgehead on Ukrainian territory will be eliminated, “Medinsky said.
According to him, Ukraine formulated the theses in writing and presented them to the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul on Tuesday.
“They gave us the principles of a possible future agreement recorded on paper. These principles include: refusal to join NATO, fixing Ukraine's non-aligned status, renunciation of nuclear weapons, as well as possession, acquisition and development of other weapons of mass destruction, refusal to deploy foreign military bases and contingents, obligation to conduct military exercises with foreign armed forces only in coordination with the guarantor states, including Russia, “Medinsky said.
At the same time, Russia's position on Crimea and Donbass remains unchanged, Putin's aide said.

It will be recalled that the head of the legal group at the talks between Ukraine and Russia, Alexander Chaly, said that security guarantees should be analogous to Article 5 of NATO. This means that an attack on our state will be considered an attack on all signatories. Chaly noted that if they agree, our side agrees to permanent neutrality, non-alignment and non-nuclear. But nothing should contradict Ukraine's right to join the EU.
