Poland resumed oil pumping through the Druzhba pipeline

Specialists eliminated the leak.

Poland eliminated a leak on the Druzhba oil pipeline and resumed oil pumping, reports Polish operator PERN.

“Technical services have restored full functionality of the damaged pipeline used to deliver crude oil to German consumers. Supplies are carried out by two branches of the western section of the pipeline“, – it is stated in press release .

Specialists are establishing the causes of the leak. In Poland, it is believed to be an ordinary damage, not sabotage.

On October 12, it became known about a leak on the Samara-Bryansk section, 70 km from Russian Plotsk. This route is used as the main one for supplying oil to Germany. Although Polish experts do not see sabotage in this accident, they admit that such situations cause fear for Europe's energy security.
