North Korea is secretly rebuilding its nuclear test site, the Open Nuclear Network

Probably want to conduct nuclear tests there.

The DPRK has begun work on the restoration of the Pungeri nuclear test site . This was reported by Yonhap News with reference to the Open Nuclear Network report. In 2018, the landfill was destroyed in the presence of a small number of foreign journalists.

“Commercial satellite images taken between March 24 and April 6 indicate activity in the №3 tunnel at the facility, such as new fortifications and a recently dug entrance, “the statement said.

In total, the Pungeri landfill consists of four tunnels. It is likely to be used for new nuclear tests – for the first time since 2017.

Earlier North Korea tested a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile while the world's attention was focused on Ukraine. This happened contrary to international agreements not to do so.
