NATO naval exercises strangely coincided with the signing of the agreement on unblocking the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea
The annual NATO Sea Breeze military exercise with the participation of 11 alliance member countries will start in the Bulgarian waters of the Black Sea. This was reported by the Bulgarian publication news.bg on July 22.
This year, 24 warships and boats, five aircraft, four helicopters and 1,390 servicemen of the naval forces of Bulgaria, Albania, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, the USA, Turkey, France, as well as the military – NATO naval command. The base of the exercises was the Bulgarian port of Burgas.
Participants in the exercise are aware of the mine danger associated with the war in Ukraine and have taken measures to ensure the safety of their troops during the exercise. Moreover, as the publication notes, warships in Bulgaria and Romania have been operating in such conditions for 5 months and have relevant experience in combating sea mines.

It is interesting that this year's training coincided in time with the signing of an agreement between Ukraine, Turkey and the UN on unblocking Ukrainian ports for the export of grain from Ukraine. We will remind, on the other hand, Turkey and the UN signed a similar agreement with Russia. It should facilitate safe navigation for the export of grain, related food products, and fertilizers (in particular, ammonia) from the sea ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenny for 120 days, with the possibility of extending this period.
We will add , according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, thanks to this agreement, about 20 million tons of last year's grain harvest will be exported.
