Ministers, businessmen and more than 70 companies: Japan imposes new sanctions on Russia

Japan has imposed a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation over the war in Ukraine. Restrictions will affect both individuals and legal entities from Russia. This was reported by Reuters.

According to the source, the sanctions list of the Japanese government included 133 individuals from Russia. Among them were Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Security Council Secretary Rashid Nurgaliyev, most LDNR leaders, and businessman Gennady Timchenko and members of his family.

In addition, the Japanese government has imposed a number of restrictions on exports. The sanctions will affect companies and organizations that are directly or indirectly related to Russia's defense sector. Among them, in particular, is Almaz-Antey, a concern that develops and manufactures anti-aircraft missile and radar equipment and components for air and missile defense weapons. Also, among others, the sanctions will affect the corporation “Tactical Missile Weapons”.
