Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy Oleksandr Merezhko called for a review of Ukraine's relations with China, which was considered a strategic partner, after the statement by the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Moscow that the “main culprit” of the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine is the United States.
« False statements and the phrase of the representative of China about “forces that seek to integrate Ukraine into the European Union” cast considerable doubt on the status of the PRC as a “strategic partner” of Ukraine. Obviously, the time has come to review this status,” Merezhko wrote on Facebook.
According to him, such an ardent partner of the aggressor state “without borders” cannot be a strategic partner of Ukraine at the same time.
“Appropriate conclusions should be drawn,” he added.
