The agreement will expire three months after Latvia receives an application for denunciation of the document, if during this time there are no objections from the Russian Federation. Otherwise, the agreement will be formally valid until the end of this period.
Lita Kokale also noted that the domestic political situation in Russia has changed significantly since the conclusion of the agreement and after the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine.
