Kremlin list — Zelenskyy presented a video at the Venice Film Festival

He addressed the participants of the festival in the language of cinema that is understandable to them.

On Wednesday, August 31, Italy held opening ceremony of the 79th Venice International Film Festival. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the participants and guests of the festival with a speech about Ukraine and the war that Russia has been waging for 189 days.

He recorded his video message in the courtyard of the president's office on Bankova.

“This story is beyond competition and beyond humanity and common sense. Horror with a duration of 189 days, not 120 minutes. 189 days of war, which is going on in Ukraine and which Europe and the world are supposedly tired of. So says Russia. This is what Russia wants. A primitive plot in three acts, so that the world will make three dramatic mistakes: get used to war, come to terms with war, forget about war,” Zelenskyi said.

He called on cultural figures not to be silent, not to be afraid, not to turn away, not to pass by and not to be indifferent to the war unleashed by Russia.

He addressed the participants of the festival in the language of cinema that is understandable to them.

“You will no longer see scary footage, explosions, gunshots, destruction, pain and tears. You will see things that most people don't. An integral part of every film, which not everyone pays attention to, important names that go into obscurity, because the moment they appear on the screen, most viewers do two things: get up and leave. I know that the first is important today, the second is impossible,” the president said before showing the festival participants a video stylized as the final credits of the film lasting more than three and a half minutes.

Video called “Kremlin List” – a list of the names of 358 Ukrainian children who were killed by Russia in dozens of Ukrainian cities and villages where Putin's forces reached. I am sure that the whole civilized world will never do this. It will not give up, it will be with Ukraine until the victorious end, when truth and justice will hear applause,” concluded the President of Ukraine.
