Germany's policy towards Ukraine is standing on one leg, with a fake smile on the face – Kaczyński

The Polish politician expressed dissatisfaction with Berlin's policy regarding the war in Ukraine.

The German authorities continue to pursue a policy of uncertainty regarding the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine, which causes condemnation from some other EU members. In particular, in Poland. They believe that the support of Kyiv from Germany is insufficient and “dishonest”. This opinion was expressed by the head of Poland's ruling party “Law and Justice” Jarosław Kaczyński, writes “Polish Radio”.

In the opinion of the politician, mobilization in Russia aims to destroy the Ukrainian state, therefore the West must show special unity and intensity in supplying the necessary weapons to Kyiv. Kaczyński emphasizes that this is a key tool for Ukrainians in defending their own independence.

“Ukrainians currently have about a million armed soldiers, but this does not mean that all of them are on the front line. They need to be supported with modern weapons, as well as clothing, because winter is coming. They need various means of provision and creation of prerequisites for the army to be even more numerous,” said the former Prime Minister of Poland.

Kaczynski separately condemned Germany's policy towards Ukraine, calling it “dishonest”.

“This is the politics of standing on one leg, with a fake smile on your face. It is our sacred duty to do everything for Ukraine to win. The Germans constantly seek a peace that is not beneficial for Ukraine, a peace that would encourage the Russians to continue the attack,” the politician said.

He noted that the current war is not only a regional confrontation between two neighboring countries, but a battle between Russia and the West, which represents democratic values. According to Kaczyński, “everyone who does not help Ukraine now is indisputably doing harm.” The head of the “Law and Justice” party suggests that if it achieves its goal in Ukraine, the Kremlin's next target will be Poland.
