The Foreign Minister believes that Germany can and should do more to bring Ukraine closer to victory over Russia.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that of all the countries of the European Union, Germany is the most indecisive in responding to Russian aggression in Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Germany can do much more to win democracy on the continent.
In an interview with the German newspaper Die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Kuleba said that there are three areas in which Germany could significantly help not only Ukraine but also other partner countries: removing obstacles to the supply of weapons needed by Ukraine, imposing new sanctions on Russia and granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership.
The Foreign Minister stressed that Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia will allow Europe to overcome the crisis and significantly strengthen its position. If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, the EU will lose stability and security for many years to come.
