Germany and France made a strategic mistake by not allowing Ukraine to join NATO in 2008, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with NBC, CNN reports.
“If we were a member of NATO, this war would not be. The strategic mistake made by Germany and France in 2008, which rejected the efforts of the United States and other allies to attract Ukraine, is what we are paying for, “Kuleba said.
He stressed that Ukraine and France have to pay for the mistake of Ukraine, defending European countries from the Russian aggressor.
