Georgia and Moldova have not imposed sanctions on Russia. This position should be assessed objectively in terms of their readiness for EU membership – Stefanishina

These countries are likely to have to wait for several more political cycles to advance in European integration.

The European Union must be equally objective in approaching Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. When I speak for my country, I am convinced that we do not need to write additional conclusions today to see how much our citizens aspire to the EU. That is, there are certain values that are already unconditional, said in an interview with ZN.UA Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanishina.

“And the position of Georgia and Moldova in terms of accession to EU sanctions, accession to the EU's security and defense policy in general today must be assessed objectively in terms of their readiness for membership.” , – she emphasized.

Prior to Russia's large-scale invasion before the NATO summit in Madrid, one of NATO's generals described how the Alliance is deciding on membership: after three political cycles. That is, when three presidents, three prime ministers consistently promote European and Euro-Atlantic integration, show commitment to values, in the fourth political cycle it becomes clear that a certain political system is rooted.

< p> I have this feeling about Ukraine. As for other countries, I would like to look at the assessment of the European Commission and I think that several political cycles will have to wait ”, said Stefanishina.
