The head of the department calls for tougher measures against the Russian Federation.
affairs of the European Union to completely suspend the validity of the visa facilitation agreement with Russia. According to the head of the department, this issue cannot be limited to half-measures.
“Therefore, if I were faced with a situation where I had to choose between half-measures, for example regarding visas, and any other measures, I would choose any other measure. I would rather take more time for discussion, more time to find a solution that would provide a really tough measure,” Kuleba said at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, Ukrinform reports.
The head of the diplomatic service also noted that the meeting of foreign ministers of the EU countries in Prague made it possible to clarify the position of individual countries regarding sanctions against the Russian Federation.
“There are no decisions as such, it was an informal meeting. I can't say that I am satisfied. I will be satisfied when I see the result. But it was an important opportunity to clarify Ukraine's position, better feel and understand the position of individual countries and agree on some specific things, the next steps both regarding weapons and sanctions, which will soon lead to a result,” said Kuleba.
