Currently, cars can be imported through several checkpoints.
A bill on the restoration of import duties has been registered in the parliament cars. However, some Ukrainians will be able to import vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces and the SRS without taxation.
Until these changes are adopted, Ukrainians still have the opportunity to buy a used car abroad without paying import duties, VAT and excise duties. We will remind that it is a question of: cars, motorcycles, trailers to cars, and also to import the vehicles intended for transportation of freights, or for passenger transportations where more than 10 places.
Given that there were many people willing to take advantage of the preferential terms, the number of checkpoints that can be used to import cars has been reduced since April 25.
Currently, cars can be imported through the following checkpoints:
- on the section of the Polish border “Uhryniv”, “Hrushiv”, “Smilnytsia”, “Ustyluh”;
- on the section of the Slovak border checkpoint “M. March “;
- on the section of the Hungarian border checkpoints” Davinkove “,” Kosine “.
The following documents must be kept at the border: technical documentation for the car; be sure to check the originality of the VIN-code, which is printed on the chassis of the car. It is important that it does not show signs of damage, falsification, forgery.
The car itself must meet environmental standards: not below Euro-2 for cars, not below Euro-5 – for trucks.
< P> Duty-free registration does not eliminate the need to pay a contribution to the Pension Fund (from 3 to 5% depending on the cost of the car) and registration services in Ukraine.
