Borjomi has announced the cessation of mineral water production due to sanctions against Russia

IDS Borjomi Georgia, which produces mineral water « Borjomi “, stops production due to sanctions against Russia. This was reported by the Russian media.

The company said that the difficult situation in major markets has been exacerbated by limited access to bank accounts. As a result, it lost the opportunity to receive foreign exchange earnings and settle with creditors.

From April 29, the company will stop production at two plants. IDS Borjomi has expressed hope that it will be restored.

The Borjomi brand has been owned by Russia's Alfa Group since 2013. Alfa-Bank came under EU sanctions in February. Georgia has not joined the sanctions against Russia.
