Pensions in May: what to expect and what to do for stable payments

Debts promise to be repaid.

Payment of April pensions is 100% financed by the state, but Ukrposhta delivered only 87.39% of the amount financed in April, in May all these debts must be repaid.

We remind you that if you received a pension in a bank account and moved, you do not need to do anything extra – the pension will be credited to the same account, regardless of your location.

If you received a pension through Ukrposhta at the place of residence and moved, you need to apply to the Pension Fund of Ukraine or the Ukrposhta hotline with a statement of desire to receive a pension from a new place of residence. After that you will be able to receive a pension in any branch of Oschadbank or Ukrposhta of your choice.

Migrant pensioners can receive an additional UAH 2,000 to their pension. In order to receive this assistance from the state, it is necessary to register as an internally displaced person (IDP) by applying in person to the local social security authorities, CNAP, or by applying remotely through the “Action” portal. After that, you will receive a certificate of registration as an internally displaced person, and then apply (again to the social security authorities, CNAP or cherry “Action”) for state aid and receive payment to the bank account specified in the application./p>

Also on April 1, a planned recalculation of pensions for working pensioners took place. 2.5 million Ukrainians will be able to receive additional payments. The amount of increase, traditionally, is calculated individually, based on the amount of salary and length of service. You do not need to apply for this recalculation separately, it happens automatically. However, you can visit the branch of the Pension Fund or your personal account on the PFC website if you want to know in advance about the amount of the allowance.

Recall that Ukrainians who do not have the required length of service (number of years worked to receive a pension) can claim a minimum payment of 2100 грн. However, there is an opportunity to increase payments.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal also told how pensions will be paid for Ukrainians temporarily occupied territories.
