Court bans Sharia Party

In the 2019 presidential election, Shariy supported the candidate from Akhmetov's wing of the “Opposition Bloc” Oleksandr Vilkul.

According to the results of the 2019 parliamentary elections, the Sharia Party received 2.2% and ranked 10th out of 22 parties. It won 52 seats in the 2020 local elections, mostly in the east and south of the country.
