The Hungarian prime minister predicted Ukraine's defeat in the war, criticized the EU and promised to block anti-Russian sanctions in the spring.
Hungary's loyal policy towards Russia and its invasion of Ukraine led to in the EU talking about the possibility of excluding the country from the union. But, apparently, this does not stop Prime Minister Viktor Orbán from supporting the Kremlin. At a secret meeting with supporters, he once again criticized European leaders for anti-Russian sanctions, predicted the disintegration of the EU by 2030 and the loss of Ukraine in the war against the Russian Federation. This is reported by the Hungarian editorial office of Radio Liberty.
In his pro-Kremlin speech, Orban stated that the war in Ukraine “was provoked by the West”. According to him, it should have been a “local conflict”, but due to the pressure of the US and European partners, it turned into a “global one”. The Hungarian prime minister suggested that the war could last until 2030, and its consequence would be that Ukraine would lose “a third or even half of its territories.”
In addition, Orbán again criticized the European Union. He said that in Europe now “there is no real leader like Angela Merkel.” The politician believes that this very factor caused the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, which are a “shot in the foot” for the EU. Orbán promised to do everything possible to block the extension of restrictions on the Russian Federation, which will be discussed in the spring.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, the European Union as a continental association will cease to exist by 2030. Orbán's speech was not without a painful racial issue for him: he predicted that by 2040, Muslim immigrants will make up the majority in French cities, or even in other EU cities and capitals.
