Some German politicians gave our country 72 hours to confront Russia.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrei Melnyk gave his answer on Twitter before the release of tomorrow's issue of The Economist, which features the key issue of the issue along with the image of the President of Ukraine – ” Why Ukraine must win .”
The diplomat's opinion is focused primarily on the German audience.
“Because this victory of Ukraine is also in the interests of Germany ‼! Therefore, the “traffic light coalition” (the name is associated with the colors of the parties in the government coalition – ed.) Should not hesitate, but do everything to defeat Russia, “- writes Melnik.
To do this, the ambassador proposes:
- to provide heavy German weapons for Ukraine;
- to stop the import of all Russian energy sources;
- disconnect all Russian banks from the SWIFT system.
As far as Ukraine is concerned, the interests of Germany are also limited.

Earlier, Melnik said that on the day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, he spoke with German Finance Minister Christian Lindner . The head of the German Ministry of Finance stated that Ukraine “has a few hours left” and that it is “pointless” to supply weapons or disconnect Russia from SWIFT.
Politico writes that this is not the first time Germany has played for the wrong team in history. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Berlin has been in the wrong camp for the past 16 years .
