“One war in Europe, namely Russia's attempts to seize our land, to turn Ukraine into a Russian colony, has caused access to food to deteriorate and the threat of famine to grow. We are trying to build new supply logistics. Right now, we have more than 25 million tons of grain in the elevators, which traditional consumers of Ukrainian products are waiting for. We are establishing exports by rail and through the ports of neighboring countries, so that last year's harvest and this year's harvest could reach consumers. But on new routes it is possible to direct much smaller volume and for much more time. As a result, it is much more expensive to supply, “the president explained.

It was previously reported that more than 346 million people in 14 African countries are already facing acute food shortages . These include Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, Congo, Sudan, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Mali.
