Part of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions have been under occupation by terrorists, who have proclaimed the “Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics” there (“LPR” and “DPR”) since 2014. For almost eight years, Russia has been supplying terrorists with weapons and sending troops to control them, but has said that “there are no Russian troops in the Donbas.” In addition, residents of the territory of ORDLO were actively forced to issue Russian passports.
On February 21, 2022, the situation became clearer: Russian President Vladimir Putin after an hour-long “address to the nation”, in which his hatred of the very fact of Ukraine's existence was observed, signed a decree recognizing the independence of “DPR” and “LPR” and agreements with each of them on cooperation in the field of defense, after which on the territory of the occupied part of Donbass already Russian military equipment entered openly, and on February 24, a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began, killing more than a thousand civilians, including more than 100 children. Terrorists demand to “return” to them all territory of Donetsk and Luhansk areas.
