Ukraine will receive new air defense and missile defense systems by the end of the year – Kuleba

According to the minister, Kyiv has already reached certain agreements with partners. They will be announced later.

In connection with the constant missile attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure by Russian invaders, Ukraine is actively working to obtain modern anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense equipment from Western partners. IRIS-Ts provided by Germany are already effectively working on the battlefield, but there are not enough of them. That is why Kyiv is conducting negotiations on obtaining additional air defense and missile defense systems. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine will receive them by the end of this year. The minister said this on the air of a news telethon.

Kuleba noted that he will not name specific dates for the arrival of the new anti-missile defense and air defense systems, as the negotiations have not yet been completed. However, the diplomat promised to do everything in his power to ensure that the Ukrainian defenders received them as soon as possible.

“We have a rule: we don't comment on supplies until the supplying country does it themselves or we agree that we can talk about it. There is a lot at work, starting with air defense systems. There are already agreements reached both by the president and at the government level with some countries. There are things that are being worked out in the future. You will know when they are implemented. This will happen before the end of the year. Well, at least we are doing everything to make it happen by the end of the year, and there are agreements about it,” said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
